“Soon we weren't just delivering pizza, we were making friends...”

— Sal Lupoli Jr.

The concept

The Forever Pizza Program started with one idea -- Pizza knows no age.  It doesn't matter if your 3, 33 or 93, Pizza spans the generations and can put a smile on any face. As I began to think about this simple concept, I realized that pizza may not be as accessible to some as it is for others. Physical restrictions, access to vehicles or a valid license and living situations are all things that can prevent people of a certain age from enjoying the simple pleasure of pizza.

I wanted to find a way to share something so sacred to me. My father owns a local legacy, Sal's Pizza and I remember running through the pizza shops covered in flour, rolling out dough and learning the fine art of pizza making at a very young age. The product was easily accessible and the idea was born. If older people were having trouble getting pizza, my teammates and I would bring it to them. We made a few pizza's each week and delivered them to local senior centers and nursing homes. Soon, we weren't just delivering pizza, we were making friends, building bonds and getting advice from those who had knowledge and wisdom to share. While we thought we were going to do something nice for them, it turned out that they were doing something amazing for us as well.
